Mobile grooming ยท Houston TX

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about mobile dog grooming in Houston.

How Mobile Grooming Works

We drive a fully equipped grooming van to your home or driveway. Your dog gets groomed one-on-one inside the van โ€” same professional service as a salon, but at your door. No drop-off, no waiting, no cage drying with other dogs barking around them.

We ask that a responsible adult be home when we arrive to hand off your dog. After that, you are free to go inside or leave โ€” we handle everything from the van. When we are done, we bring your freshly groomed dog to the door.

We can park in front of your home on the street. Our van has its own water and power supply, so we do not need access to your home utilities. As long as we can park within a reasonable distance, we can groom your dog.

Yes. Our vans have both heating and air conditioning โ€” critical in Houston where summer temperatures can exceed 100ยฐF. Your dog stays comfortable throughout the entire appointment.

Booking & Scheduling

We typically have openings 2 to 3 business days out. For popular time slots (weekend mornings), you may want to book a week ahead. We take bookings by phone and online.

Yes. Most of our clients are on a 4-week, 6-week, or 8-week recurring schedule depending on their dog's coat type. Recurring clients get priority scheduling and we hold their regular time slot.

We ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Same-day cancellations may result in a small cancellation fee since we have reserved van time for your appointment.

Occasionally, yes โ€” if there is a cancellation in your area. Call us before 10am for the best chance at a same-day slot. We cannot guarantee it but we try.

Dogs & Breeds

We groom most breeds. Large dogs, double-coated breeds, and very long-coated dogs are no problem. We do not groom dogs with severe aggression or dogs that require sedation โ€” those cases need a veterinary groomer.

Yes, and this is actually one of our biggest advantages. The mobile one-on-one setting is dramatically less stressful than a salon. Your dog is never in a cage, never surrounded by other dogs, and never waiting for hours. Anxious dogs often do significantly better with mobile grooming.

Yes โ€” and we strongly encourage starting early. We offer a gentle puppy introduction package for dogs 8 to 16 weeks (after their initial vaccines). The goal is a short, positive first experience that sets them up well for grooming throughout their life.

We can accommodate many medical conditions โ€” arthritis, anxiety, skin conditions, senior dogs. Tell us when you book and we will adjust our process. For dogs with serious heart or respiratory conditions, consult your vet before any grooming.

Pricing

Pricing depends on your dog's breed, size, coat condition, and the service you choose. A bath and brush for a small dog typically starts around $55. A full groom for a large double-coated breed can run $130 to $180. We give you an exact quote before confirming your appointment โ€” no surprises.

Typically $10 to $30 more than a traditional salon โ€” less than most people expect. That premium covers the convenience of not driving anywhere, the one-on-one attention, and the dramatically reduced stress on your dog. Most clients tell us it is worth it immediately.

If your dog requires significantly more time due to matting, extreme anxiety, or uncooperative behavior, we may add a handling fee. We will always tell you before the appointment if we anticipate this.
